What do you think of when I say the word, ‘roller coaster’? Does your heart race? Do you smile? Do you frown? I smile a great big toothy smile. It stirs up fear, excitement, and so much fun, which I’m ready to create head on.
The biggest tips to creating your fun:
1. Know what your fun is, big and small. Think about it. Ponder it. Imagine. Visualize. The sky is the limit. There are no limitations. Create boundless fun. What does your fun look like?
2. Share you desired fun with others. This is an important step. Since you’re creating your fun without any restrictions, there may be some difficulties that a friend may be able to help out with. You never know. . . . For instance, maybe your friend has a beach house you didn’t know about that you could stay at for 5 days as a gift? OR maybe another friend has an extra ticket to the concert you’re dying to go to? Friends love to help their friends’ desires come true. Try it. You’ll love it.
3. Put in on your calendar. It’s incredibly valuable to schedule your fun. Just like you schedule your appointments with your doctor and your tax accountant, schedule your fun for the movies, a show, a trip to the book store, or whatever your fun is.
4. Execute. Make it happen. Take a stand for yourself and create your very own fun. You can do this! You are so very worthy! Do you ever feel guilty leaving your family for a day to create some catch up time with your girlfriends? Turn the guilt into this conversation – “I’m teaching my children to go out and create their own fun when they’re adults. I’m giving them a gift of one another.”
Now get out there and role model fun for the rest of the world. Know your desired fun and share it with others. Put it on your calendar and make it happen.
This blog entry is inspired by my desire to go on some roller coasters with my family. We’re going to Great Adventure to the tallest roller coaster on earth on Thursday. We can’t wait!! By the way, it didn’t seem like it was going to happen this summer till I shared my desire and picked a date.
There’s just one more tiny step – if this inspired you to take action, PLEASE share the fun with us in the comments below. Thanks so much.
